Winter in Perth

What a magnificent day it is in Perth today, it's supposed to be winter but it's more like spring. It's only 21°C at 13:30 but it was forecast to get to 29 but I doubt it will. There's not a breath of wind and being in the sun is just heaven. The best thing is I don't have a care in the world and I'm feeling great. It was such a bad week I didn't think I'd ever feel good about anything ever again but a day like this just makes you feel great. After writing this I'm off to take the dog for a long walk, then back for a few beers on the balcony before the beautiful afternoon disappears. The neighbours will have their peace shattered with the best of 60's, 70's and 80's music blasted from 3 separate speaker systems throughout the house all joined together by an FM signal straight from my computer. 3500 songs playing randomly. It's Mother's day in Australian tomorrow and both daughters are taking "her outdoors" away, one in the morning for brunch and the other to a show in the evening so that's another day for me to make the most of my own company. I just hope this brilliant weather stays around to keep me in this really good mood.

On The Top

I was going to call this blog "on the up" but the truth is I'm feeling right on the top of everything at the moment not just on the way up. Usually I don't get highs like the true Bipolar sufferers I just have lows and lowers but I've never felt this good in ages. I'm sure the biggest reason is getting my Seadogs website all sorted out, something that's been worrying me for a long time now. The reason I chose the photo above is I feel just like I would if that chick was actually smiling at me with those amazing come to bed eyes and smile to die for but any chance to see some really great arse is always worthwhile. It's Anzac Day today in Australia and we all have the day off to remember the hundreds of thousands of young Australians and New Zealanders that were slaughtered in 1915 at Gallipoli, Turkey when ordered to attack an impenetrable position the Turks held just as a distraction so the British could get ashore safely on a beach a few miles away. Total insanity but the brave lads went over the top, as ordered, in wave after wave and most were cut down within meters of their own trenches. I for one will remember them today and will, on their behalf, put away a few coldies to toast them all, one by one!!

About Me

I'm a simple soul who loves hot chicks and cold beer. The problem is I'm now too old for the chicks and too fat after all the beer I've put away over the years so I'm on a mission to fix the fat thing trying to lose 24 kg (52 lb) in 24 weeks. Currently I've lost 6 kg in 8 weeks so I'm far from on track but I haven't lost my resolve and I do intend to really dig in this week to get back to the required 1 kg per week. Easter was a big set back with 4 days of seeing friends and family consuming over my average consumption of my beloved amber nectar and having chocolate every day since. I've still got Easter eggs left but I'm not touching them until I'm back in control.
